Pricing & Logistics

First and Second Training Cycles: $13,500

The fee includes:

  • Tuition for 2 training cycles

  • One-on-one processing time, in addition to the 200 training hours

  • A hardcopy of the CYS workbook

  • Access to the 200hr Private Training Site

  • Accommodations and meals. A private space will be reserved for you, if one is available at the time of your application.

Any personal travel expenses are in addition and the student’s responsibility. Payment plans are available.

Third Training Cycle: $4,000 plus Revenue Sharing

The $4,000 covers:

  • Copyright permission to use CYS materials to develop your own workbook (required) and training site (optional).

  • Documents for your school’s RYS200 application with the Yoga Alliance.

  • Other resources you might need to prepare for your own school.

  • This is a one-time fee.


Revenue Sharing

As the host of the training during the Third Training Cycle, you can set your own tuition price according to your market.

CYS will receive 25% of gross tuition and reimbursement of travel expenses for the attending senior trainer (airfare, gas, accommodations, meals). This fee covers:

  • Senior trainer co-facilitating only when necessary

  • Further coaching and one-on-one processing in addition to the 200 training hours

  • Graduation and Yoga Alliance recognition of the enrolled teachers through Circle Yoga Shala

Please budget for all other expenses from the remaining tuition. Examples include:

  • Printing manuals for your students (estimated $30/manual)

  • Any rental fees

Trainer-in-training Responsibilities during and after the Third Cycle

Outside of classroom time, there are additional responsibilities that must be fulfilled in order to run your own CYS training program.

  • Develop your own workbook (required) and training site (optional) during your third training cycle.

  • Use the documents provided by Circle Yoga Shala to apply for Yoga Alliance school registration after your third training cycle.

Ongoing Affiliate School Fees: 10% Tuition Gross

CYS will receive 10% of gross tuition for all subsequent training taught by the affiliate school. The fee applies every time the program is taught.

This fee covers:

  • Program updates and enhancement

  • Workbook updates

  • Mentoring, as needed.


Please budget for all other expenses from your remaining 90% gross tuition. Examples include:

  • Expenses required for your Yoga Alliance application (one time): $400 as of 10/14/2020, paid directly to Yoga Alliance

  • Yoga Alliance yearly school fees ($240 as of 10/14/2020, paid directly to Yoga Alliance)

  • Printing manuals for your students (estimated $30/manual)

  • Guest teacher payment

  • Any rental fees

Affiliate School Responsibilities

Once you have finished your 3 training cycles, you will become a CYS Affiliate School. Your responsibilities include:

  • Continue to teach the CYS curriculum, in the order and the manner that it was taught to you.

  • Any guest teachers you invite to teach must have completed the CYS trainer program (not just the CYS 200hr YTT).

  • Recognize the source of the teachings and clearly identify your lineage to your trainees.

  • Submit any curriculum changes to CYS for approval.

Affiliate School Financial Projections

Your Affiliate School Program costs for the 3 Training Cycles will be entirely covered by the end of your third training cycle, with only 10 students paying $2,800 tuition each.

Once you’re operating as a full Affiliate School, you will earn approximately $28,000 in gross revenue per training, $25,200 net.
