Our Foundational 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is built on the Circle Yoga Method—a living practice that honors both tradition and innovation.

We believe that Yoga should meet you where you are, and our approach reflects that.

🪶Grounded in biomechanics. Our training is designed for all bodies—not just the stretchy, young, or injury-free. You’ll learn how to work safely and intelligently with real human bodies in all their diversity.

🪶Aligned with the mind. We work with the nature of attention, rather than against it, so your practice and your teaching feel natural, grounded, and sustainable.

🪶Philosophy for real life. You’ll explore Eastern wisdom without dismissing the value of Western life—learning how to live Yoga in a modern world.

🪶Authentic teaching, not scripts. Our method equips you to understand, integrate, and express the teachings in your own voice. You won’t leave sounding like anyone but yourself.

🪶Infinite creative sequencing. Instead of relying on a handful of preset sequences, you’ll discover principles that open endless possibilities for arranging postures with clarity and creativity.

🪶A true community of support. This is a space free of competitiveness or pressure to be perfect. Here, learning happens in the company of people who genuinely support and encourage one another.

🪷 You’re tired of doing the same old sun salutations and long for creativity and freedom in your practice.

🪷 You dream of building a home practice that feels nourishing, sustainable, and truly your own.

🪷 You don’t want to be boxed into just one “style” of yoga—you want the tools to adapt, evolve, and teach in a way that feels authentic to you.

🪷You want to explore yoga beyond asana—deepen your understanding of breathwork, meditation, and the self-inquiry dimension of this practice.

🪷 You’ve already taken a 200-hour YTT but still don’t feel confident enough to step into teaching—and you’re ready for a method that actually prepares you.

🪷 You feel called to share yoga with a specific community—whether that’s elders, children, athletes, or others who don’t always see themselves reflected in a typical studio class.

At its heart, this program is for seekersfor those who want yoga to be a living, breathing part of their lives.

It’s for anyone who dreams of teaching with confidence, practicing with freedom, and being of service in a way that is meaningful and real.

"The Shala was a place where I truly became a student of myself. It gave me the space to observe—not just what I was thinking or feeling, but what I was actually doing, and how my actions ripple out into the world. Having teachers and a community of collective wisdom has meant everything to me."

Skills for Teaching

Graduates of the Foundational 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training leave with more than knowledge—they leave with the ability to step into the seat of the teacher right away. You’ll learn how to:

🐛 Teach any style, any level. Gain the ability to guide beginners and advanced practitioners alike, across styles, with ease and confidence.

🐛 Teach beyond asana. Confidently guide students through postures, breath work (Pranayama), and meditation.

🐛 Sequence creatively and intelligently. Design classes that flow with purpose and inspiration, while keeping students safe and engaged.

🐛 Cue with clarity. Offer instructions that allow each student to make adjustments relevant to their own body—without confusion or overwhelm.

🐛 Offer seamless modifications. Suggest instant modifications that keep the rhythm of the class intact and empower students to practice safely.

🐛 Provide trauma-sensitive adjustments. Use non-invasive, respectful approaches to hands-on adjustments that prioritize student safety and choice.

🐛 Meet students where they are. Adapt your teaching to the needs of every person in the room, regardless of age, body type, or level of experience.

🐛 Step into professionalism. Interact successfully with studios, employers, and communities, so you’re equipped to thrive as a teacher.

This training gives you not only the knowledge but the embodied skill to teach with authenticity, adaptability, and grace.

Skills for Life

The Circle Yoga Method is more than a way to teach yoga—it’s a framework for living. Through this training, you’ll gain tools that extend far beyond the mat and into every area of your life. You’ll learn how to:

🔥 Meet stress with new tools. Develop practical strategies for grounding and resilience when life feels overwhelming.

🔥 Recognize unhelpful patterns. Notice when your usual coping strategies interfere with what’s really needed in the moment—and choose differently.

🔥 Use your voice with confidence. Project clearly and powerfully without sounding harsh or aggressive.

🔥 Balance support with self-care. Understand the difference between being of service and losing yourself, so you can give sustainably.

🔥 Bring Presence to daily life. Cultivate the ability to direct your attention and energy with intention, whether in relationships, work, or creative pursuits.

🔥 Develop a relationship to your actions. Learn to observe not only what you think and feel, but what you do—and how your actions shape your relationships and the world around you.

🔥 Express with respect. Share your cherished beliefs in ways that honor your truth without invalidating others’ perspectives.

These skills are not only for the yoga classroom—they’re for the conversations you have, the communities you’re part of, and the way you move through the world.

By the third intensive, I had the skills and confidence to start teaching. Learning to ‘speak action’ and work with the five core components gave me a solid foundation to guide students safely—and my very first classes were a success because of it.”

Training content

Our training unfolds through four immersive intensives, each one building on the last. Each intensive reinforces what came before, while adding new dimensions of depth, nuance, and application. We call this process “splitting the atom”—taking something that seems simple on the surface and opening it up to reveal infinite detail, insight, and possibility.

Intensive 1 lays the foundation for the entire training. We dive into the fundamentals of asana, biomechanics, and yoga philosophy, while beginning practice teaching from day one. Asana sessions focus on activating the body and aligning the joints. We also explore clear, supportive teaching language, learn to design intelligent sequences, and engage with Indian philosophy, without requiring a change in beliefs.

Intensive 2 builds on the foundation of Intensive 1, focusing on the study of forward folds and closed-hip postures. Rather than memorizing every single posture, you’ll learn the underlying principles that allow you to teach the entire family of forward folds safely. We also look at the spine and what usually compromises it. Pranayama (breathwork) is introduced as a powerful tool for training attention. In philosophy, we turn to Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra to study timeless questions about what Yoga is.

Intensive 3 turns to the families of open-hip postures and backbends. Practice teaching expands to include respectful, non-invasive adjustments. You’ll also add meditation to your teaching toolkit, learning how to guide others into stillness with confidence. In philosophy, we focus on Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Hatha Yoga and their relevance in daily practice.

Intensive 4 brings everything together by expanding your range as a teacher and preparing you for the realities of today’s yoga marketplace. We explore how to teach different styles of Yoga—including vinyasa, power, and chair yoga. You’ll refine your teaching, while learning to also serve special populations such as children, seniors, and athletes. In philosophy, we turn to the Bhagavad Gita.

"My journey through the 200hr program has been the most incredible process I have experienced. Being taught in a way where I can successfully teach students in all walks of life, while remaining true to myself, my scope, and my training has been incredibly valuable. I feel supported by this community, and will return here to complete the 300hr YTT."

"The 200hr program is first class. The training went far above and beyond anything I could have expected. The program, environment, and faculty create the space to sense deeply and be fearlessly open. I hope to carry the spirit of holistic, integrated, and somatic inquiry forward in my teaching. I would and will recommend this program to all yogis/yoginis who are ready to begin their teaching journey."

"My experience was unique, special and a blessing. My trainers taught in a way that makes it available for anyone to practice. I have grown mentally, physically and spiritually and plan to continue with my daily Yoga practice, as well as teach others along the way. Yoga has changed my life for the better. It is my new best friend. For that I will be forever grateful to my teachers.
